CICB-Server (S) is the central service that communicates with CICB-Client and supported portal workflows.

Setting Modes

Online Mode

When Online Mode is enabled, supported settings are retrieved from the configured portal workflow.

IMPORTANT: Do not use Online Mode in SCIF or other secure environments where internet-connected workflows would violate policy.

Offline Mode / Off-Grid Mode / SCIF Mode

When Offline Mode is enabled, settings are served from the local server database and distributed within the local environment.

LDAP Sync

When LDAP Sync is enabled, group settings are synchronized with the configured directory service.

IMPORTANT: Portal Online Mode and LDAP Sync are currently mutually exclusive. If LDAP Sync is enabled, portal-managed online groups should be treated as unavailable until coexistence support is implemented in a future release.

Groups and Screens

Administrators can create, read, update, and delete groups of screen settings. Each connected workstation receives the settings associated with its assigned group.

The number of screens supported per workstation depends on the active license tier. Higher license tiers support more displays and advanced customization.
