The Cyber Intel Classification Banner (CICB) is also known as the “Classification Banner”, “The Computer Banner”, “Army Unclassified Banner”, “Banner Computer Program”, “Controlled Unclassified Information Banner”, “CUI Banner”, “Computer Information Banner”, “Information Banner”, “DoD Banner”, “Unclassified Green Banner”, “Unclassified Banner”, “USG Banner”, etc.
The Cyber Intel Classification Banner is software that satisfies STIG V-222643 and STIG V-6146 which will display and mark sensitive or classified output across computer screens when required. This is the perfect solution, similar to the NetBanner but with many useful new features for the Windows and Linux platforms.
Executive Order (E.O.) 13526 and its implementing directive, 32 CFR Part 2001, prescribe a uniform security classification system. This system requires that standard markings be applied to classified information.
Except in extraordinary circumstances, or as approved by the Director of the Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO), the marking of classified information shall not deviate from the prescribed formats. Markings shall be uniformly and conspicuously applied to leave no doubt about the classified status of the information, the level of protection required, and the duration of classification.
