Introduction

Introducing Cyber Intel Classification Banner

CICB is Windows endpoint software for displaying an organization-approved classification or information-labeling banner at the top and bottom of supported desktops. It can help users recognize the selected handling context while they work across applications and multiple monitors.

Current supported scope

Current supported CICB releases target Windows endpoints. Historical Linux prototypes, screenshots, source experiments, or alternative builds do not establish a supported Linux release.

  • Standard Connected and Air-Gapped Isolated LAN deployment profiles.
  • Standalone and enterprise operation with organization-controlled text, colors, placement, and groups.
  • Optional internal LDAP/LDAPS integration for approved directory environments.
  • Signed installation and update workflows with current supply-chain evidence.

Marking and compliance boundary

CICB does not determine whether information is classified or CUI, apply document banner lines or portion markings, authenticate every user or device, or authorize a system. References to EO 13526, 32 CFR Part 2001/2002, NIST SP 800-171, DoDI 5200.48, CMMC, or STIGs are policy context, not product certification.
