Cyber Intel Classification Banner overview
CICB is Windows endpoint software that displays an organization-approved classification or information-labeling banner at the top and bottom of supported desktops. It can provide a persistent visual handling context across applications and multiple monitors.
What CICB can support
- Organization-controlled banner text, colors, placement, and workstation groups.
- Standalone and enterprise operation on supported Windows endpoints.
- Connected or Air-Gapped Isolated LAN deployment profiles.
- Optional internal LDAP/LDAPS integration and dynamic group-based configuration.
- Signed installation and update workflows with current SBOM, VEX, and dependency evidence.
What CICB does not replace
An endpoint banner does not determine information ownership, apply document banner lines or portion markings, authenticate every user or device, enforce dissemination controls, create immutable audit evidence, or authorize a system. Those responsibilities remain with approved organizational policies, tools, identities, infrastructure, and assessors.
Current configurations
Standard Connected Configuration
Supports approved Portal, updater, and support flows when the customer authorizes and monitors those external services and network paths.
Air-Gapped Isolated LAN
Uses a compile-time Air-gap profile, offline update verification, and local-only support packaging. Product behavior does not by itself prove that the host or network boundary has no egress.
